The decision to attend CMA Fest this year was an easy one. I made the decision in May of last year when the tickets first went on sale. This was my third year attending CMA Fest, and I had so much fun the previous two years that I just knew I had to go back!
In the months leading up to CMA Fest, I was mostly looking forward to seeing a number of newer artists that I’ve grown to love, including Jacob Davis and Waterloo Revival. Although I travelled to Nashville all the way from Los Angeles, the four-hour flight was completely worth it. The artists that perform at Nissan Stadium every night are always exciting to see. However, I was equally or more excited to see newer artists that don’t typically tour in my area.
When you look around at the festival, the energy is so positive, crazy, and fun! There’s no other place that anyone would rather be in that moment. Looking back on the incredible weekend I had, I loved so many performances on both the large and smaller stages! I really loved Sam Hunt, Carrie Underwood and Dierks Bentley perform their bigger sets at Nissan Stadium, but some of my favorites on the smaller stages were Jacob Davis, Waterloo Revival and Old Dominion.
There are so many memories I will take away from CMA Fest 2016, but one of my favorite memories is from when I attended a private fan event with some of my closest friends for up-and-coming country artist Jacob Davis at Black River Entertainment. At the event Jacob performed for an intimate crowd and was surprised by the label CEO with a record deal. It was just amazing to be a fan of his and witness a moment that will change his life forever!
I have every intension on returning to CMA Fest next year, and for those who have never had the chance to go, I can only explain it as a thrilling week packed with great music, friends, fun, and excitement!
