Being from the Chicagoland area, Lollapalooza is the highlight of our summer. Whether it’s just being downtown and soaking up all of the madness, or witnessing some of the greatest artists grace the stage, Lollapalooza is a staple in Chicago’s epic summer. Fortunately, this year was my first actual Lolla experience. I was always hitting up Lolla After-parties prior to this year and I was always missing out on tickets sales, but I was never too bold to get scammed into buying one on craigslist.
This year I turned 21 and never looked back. I refused to be left without a Lolla ticket this year and my hustle paid off. Two laptops and three phones later, I got my hands on what was to be the greatest lineup of the entire weekend. I saw the greatness of J. Cole, the epic light show that was Tchami, and the sultry magnificence of Kehlani. I witnessed the hottest bars coming out of Dreamville artists Bas, Cozz and Omen, the uncensored mind of G-Eazy, the indecisiveness of Midwest Mother Nature, and Chicago’s greatest cuisine (and somewhere in between there, the carefreeness of barefoot attendees)! I truly appreciated the beauty behind the insanity that is Lollapalooza and it absolutely did not disappoint. My festival dreams came true![wordads]
