This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit my favorite place on the whole planet: Disney World. If you know me, you know all about my obsession with this magical place in the heart of Orlando, Florida. However, my love for Disney isn’t something that started recently. This is a love story that began when I first visited the parks at the age of two. Do I remember every detail of this trip? No. But I can almost guarantee that my face was lighting up with joy the entire time I was there.
So my question for you is this: is Disney where the life of a fan-girl begins? For me, this is definitely true. Through all of the years I’ve gone to Disney and watched the films, I’ve grown to love the music and live performances- especially singing along with them. From Legally Blonde the Musical to a One Direction concert, you can always find me singing my heart out in the audience. Speaking of singing my heart out, that was exactly what I was doing last weekend at the Frozen sing-along in Hollywood Studios. It made my heart flutter to see people of all ages singing along to every word!
The joy that I saw in the faces of the children in the audience at the live shows at Disney World reminded me so much of the joy I see in the faces all around me at a concert. There is just something about singing your favorite songs and seeing your favorite “characters” come to life right in front of you that makes it such a special experience. Whether it’s at Disney World or your local music venue, there’s nothing better than immersing yourself in the music and leaving your problems behind for a few hours.
I believe my passion for live music began when I was a little girl at Disney World and carried over to concerts of all kinds as I grew up. I can’t wait to see where the fan-girl life takes me in the coming years, and I’ll be looking out for those budding fan-girls on my next trip to Disney World. So now it’s your turn: where does your passion for live music come from?
Awesome article! I did the Disney College Program in 2014 so there was no way I could scroll past this without reading!
