The Grammy’s are this upcoming Sunday, Feb. 12th, and we could not be more excited for music’s biggest night. Chance the Rapper, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, and more have all been announced to perform. Although there’s a fair share of drama leading up to Sunday’s show (Frank Ocean not being nominated, Kanye West and Justin Bieber possibility not showing up, and the usual political sound off), let’s focus on the positive stuff… predicting the winners!

Album of the Year

Who Should Win: Lemonade – Beyoncé

Who Will Win: Lemonade – Beyoncé

This is a no brainer. Lemonade is Beyoncé’s best album yet and truly the most deserving of Album of the Year. Grammys, please don’t disappoint.

Record of the Year

Who Should Win: “Formation” – Beyoncé

Who Will Win: “Hello” – Adele

Beyoncé’s politically charged ‘Formation’ might not be enough to beat Adele in this category. ‘Hello’ spent 10 weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 and was first song to sell over a million digital copies in a week.

Song of the Year

Who Should Win: “Love Yourself” – Justin Bieber

Who Will Win: “Hello” – Adele

Although Justin is competing with Grammy veterans Beyoncé and Adele, “Love Yourself” was co-written by Ed Sheeran. Ed took home this award last year for “Thinking out Loud,” but the Grammy’s usually aren’t too smitten with giving awards to younger artists. If Justin wins this one, I’ll be happily surprised.

Best New Artist

Who Should Win: Chance the Rapper

Who Will Win: Chance the Rapper

An independent new artist with 7 nominations? Hands down, Chance should get this one.

 Best Pop Vocal Album

Who Should Win: Dangerous Woman – Ariana Grande

Who Will Win: 25 – Adele

Not sure what else to say here except that Adele is probably going to sweep these pop categories.

Best Pop Solo Performance

Who Should Win: “Hello” – Adele

Who Will Win: “Hello” – Adele

See above.

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

Who Should Win: “Work” – Rihanna Feat. Drake

Who Will Win: “7 Years” – Lukas Graham

Drake and RiRi never disappoint with their collabs but newcomer Lukas Graham might take this one.

Best Rap Song

Who Should Win: “No Problem”  – Chance the Rapper Feat. Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz

Who Will Win: “Ultralight Beam” – Kanye West

This is tough. Chance the Rapper co-wrote and is featured on “Ultralight Beam” but I still hope “No Problem” takes it.

Best Rap Album

Who Should Win: Coloring Book – Chance the Rapper

Who Will Win: Views – Drake

If Drake wins this he should just pull a Macklemore and cede the award to Chance. Views is nominated for Album of the Year, so there is a big possibility that Drake might win. However, I’m really hoping they give this one to Chance. Coloring Book is the first streaming-only album to be nominated for a Grammy. He managed to address some of our tough political problems with hope and positivity. That’s something we desperately needed in 2016.
