Coachella, the music and arts festival held in the desert of Indio, California, has become synonymous with the endless Instagram posts of attendees in flower crowns, black lace bralettes paired with silver jewelry and floppy hats. The festival’s location has also made it a major event for celebrities and their attempts to achieve the Coachella look.
Best Dressed
Rihanna continued to be the queen of everything by showing up in an allover glitter bodysuit and top from Gucci’s Fall 2017 collection, as well as sporting a denim ensemble with white thigh high boots and a jewel-encrusted mask.
Coco Rocha wore a rainbow sequined pants-and-bomber-jacket combo, and matching eyeshadow, to a Moschino event at the festival.
Shanina Shaik wore a star-print jumpsuit accessorized with a chain-link belt to a Revolve event.
Worst Dressed
Katy Perry, attending the same Moschino event as Coco Rocha, made it on the opposite end of the best dressed-worst dressed spectrum for her ensemble of a sports bra and high-waisted pants that look like either track or dress pants, underneath a rainbow-colored fur coat.
Rita Ora was a double mess in her outfit choices, which both included blue-and-white checker and cherry-printed boots (which I actually love). Unfortunately, Rita’s cute boots couldn’t save her choices of fringe and Oakleys, and a reject party dress from 2005 paired with a “Solidarity” beret and blue-framed sunglasses.
Ashley Graham followed Rita’s (bad) example in a belted black bodycon dress and gold shawl that would be more suited for a sticky-floored club than the desert.
Kylie Jenner kept up with the bad clubwear trend in a sparkly dress and green wig one day, and a snakeskin print co-ord ensemble with a purple wig the next.
