Something I’m sure we can all agree on is the importance of not allowing events, such as the attack at Manchester Arena, to cause us to live in fear. Even with all of the devastation and destruction that occurred on that day after the Ariana Grande concert, we must continue to enjoy life, even if sometimes it can feel like a risk to even leave our homes at all.
Following the attack, I have to admit, I couldn’t imagine when or if Ariana Grande would ever return to the city of Manchester, and to be honest, who could blame her? However, with the announcement of a benefit concert in Manchester in honor of the victims on June 4th, it appears Ariana feels the same about not letting fear run our lives and keep us from enjoying the music.
With this particular benefit concert, the message is clear: not only will we continue to rise up against hate and live fearlessly, but we will come back even stronger than before. Not only will Ariana be headlining this show, but she’ll be bringing along quite an impressive roster of all-stars including: Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell, Usher, Take That, Niall Horan, and more!
The star-studded event will be broadcast live on BBC and Capital Radio Networks from the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground, which fits a capacity of 50,000 people. The concert will also be available to stream online. The best part of it all is that all net ticket proceeds will be going to the We Love Manchester emergency fund, while fans who attended Ariana’s show at the arena that night will be allowed admission free of charge.
It’s going to be so amazing to see fans and artists alike come together and rally against such a hateful crime against humanity. This benefit concert will be evidence that once again…love wins.
