Fall Out Boy have released the third single off of their forthcoming studio album, M A N I A.

The song, titled “The Last Of The Real Ones”, begins with a slow, yet mesmerizing, instrumental that builds up to a chorus that grabs onto you just like a Fall Out Boy song should.

With the always poetic lyrics that come with a Fall Out Boy song, a few lines stick out. “You are the sun and I am just the planets spinning around you” has meaning symbolic of being so attracted to someone that you’re pulled towards them like gravity. “Write our names in wet concrete” symbolizes the love that the author and their partner has being, literally, set in stone.

Fall Out Boy has been known for their catchy choruses and the unique voice of Patrick Stump, the band’s lead singer and rhythm guitarist. Pete Wentz, the band’s bassist and primary lyricist, took to Twitter saying that “The Last Of The Real Ones” is about the type of love where “…your heart just feels like TNT, quicksand, and oblivion all at once.”
