After the remix of “Homemade Dynamite” with Khalid, SZA, and Post Malone, Lorde is back with yet another great collaboration. Coming off the momentum of releasing her sophomore album, Melodrama, and the remix of “Homemade Dynamite,” everyone is starving for more Lorde. She has worked with some Electronic artists such as Disclosure, Chromeo, and Flume. Now you can add Major Lazer to this impressive list.

During Diplo’s radio show, he decided to drop a tidbit of a new track from this new collaboration. Major Lazer has had several hits in the past few years such as “Lean On” with DJ Snake and and “Cold Water” featuring Justin Beiber, so it seems like a no-brainer to include Lorde on a track in order to continue their string of hits. The preview of the song was less than a minute long, but was completely mesmerizing to the ears.

The track features Jamaican singer Vybz Kartel and, no pun intended, has dancehall vibes to the song. The lyrics that Lorde belts out in the small teaser from Diplo’s show are reminiscent of Jamaican DJ, Yellowman’s 1984 song, “Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt.” The track is just only repeated vocals from Lorde and the beat. The song is a direction that no one really expected from Lorde and Major Lazer, and it’s still untitled.

Not only that, but there’s also no release date as of yet. However, the fact that this collaboration even exists is exciting enough for fans who are patiently waiting for the official release. The fan reaction has been very well-received and who doesn’t love new music from Major Lazer and Lorde? Everyone is anticipating the official release of the song and it is expected to be another hit for both artists.
