It’s always a sad time when the music industry loses a talented artist, and on November 15th, we lost rapper Lil Peep. Lil Peep passed away while he was in Tucson, Arizona for a show, and he overdosed on his tour bus. According to sources, this tragedy occurred because Peep was taking Xanax, which may have been laced with something else.
Peep was just 21 years old when he passed and best known for his emo-hip hop style of music, which truly made him unique. Peep started out making songs in his bedroom and posting them on the music streaming site, Soundcloud. Peep’s sound was definitely one of a kind and there’s no denying that he was a rising star.
The Loss of Lil Peep has opened up discussions about drug use, addiction and mental health. Once again, it’s important to remember that we never truly know what a person is going though, and sometimes we only know once it’s too late. We hope that Lil Peep’s music will continue to inspire others and that his work will be admired for how groundbreaking it truly was.
