This summer is definitely one for the books when it comes to tours. Tons of old icons are coming back out to play, and they’re bringing some of our new favorites with them. Summer is officially here so it’s time to figure out which shows you’re going to and who’s coming with.
Taylor Swift – Reputation Tour
Taylor Swift’s fifth tour hits stadiums this summer, with more than 50 shows around the world between May and November. The tour highlights tracks from her sixth studio album, Reputation, but Swift also plays a few older hits for die-hard fans. While the old Taylor is definitely dead, the starlet has not abandoned her old tricks. In typical Swift fashion, the production has no shortage of innuendoes for her enemies—like a giant snake in reference to her feud with Kim Kardashian West and Kanye. Swift’s performance features over seven costume changes, thrilling choreography, and three different stages to help her get up close and personal with as many fans as possible. With superstar opening acts like Camila Cabello and Charli XCX, the Reputation Tour is guaranteed to give you an unforgettable night.
Firefly Music Festival
Each summer, Firefly shocks music fans with its near-perfect lineup of musicians. This year, acts included Kendrick Lamar, The Killers, Lil Wayne, Foster the People, Lauv, and SZA. With a wide range of diverse styles, the festival appeals to fans with all kinds of music tastes. The four-day concert was held at the Woodlands in Dover, Delaware from June 14-17. A unique component to the festival is that fans can take advantage of campsites for the weekend. Ticket holders can choose to camp out in a tent or in their car, among other options available here. Weren’t able to make this summer’s festival? We’re sure 2019 will bring you a great lineup, so stay on top of it!
Eminem – Revival Tour
After a long hiatus from music, rap superstar Eminem (Marshall Mathers) made a comeback last year with his ninth studio album, Revival. This summer, Mathers will perform in Norway, Switzerland, and Italy among other locations abroad. The short but highly anticipated tour will follow performances at various U.S. music festivals like Boston Calling, Bonnaroo, Firefly, and Governors Ball. The Revival Tour then runs throughout July, from the 2nd until the 15th. Long-time fans can likely expect Mathers to perform older favorites like “Not Afraid” and “Lose Yourself,” as well as new hits like “River.”
Kesha and Macklemore – The Adventures of Kesha and Macklemore Tour
Kesha and Macklemore will visit 30 North American cities this summer on The Adventures of Kesha and Macklemore Tour. The pop duo, who recently collaborated on their duet “Good Old Days,” will begin with a performance on June 6 in Phoenix, Arizona. The tour will run until its final show in Tampa, Florida on August 5. The superstars will donate $1 of each ticket sale to their respective hand-picked charities—Kesha has chosen Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN), and Macklemore has selected PLUS 1 for social and racial advocacy. The perfect mix of fun and philanthropy, this tour is sure to be one for the books.
Beyoncé and Jay Z – On the Run II Tour
Hollywood’s legendary power couple is hitting the road this summer for their second joint tour. On the Run II Tour follows their On the Run Tour, which made its way through France and North America in 2014. This summer, the tour kicks off in Cardiff, United Kingdom on June 6. The two will perform throughout Europe until moving to North America on July 25. The tour then hits 21 American cities, beginning in Cleveland, Ohio and closing in Seattle, Washington on October 4. The modern-day king and queen of pop are sure to deliver one of the most exciting concerts of the summer.
