Demi Lovato was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday after suffering from an apparent drug overdose. Although fans, friends and family of the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer were well-aware of her ongoing struggle with substance abuse and mental illness, Demi seemed to be on the right track, with six years of sobriety under her belt.
Last month, however, Demi released a new single called “Sober,” in which she admitted to and apologized for relapsing after hitting the six-year mark. Despite knowing that she relapsed, many fans weren’t aware of how serious of a downhill spiral she’s been on over the last several months. That’s why, when the news spread that she was hospitalized after an all-night party at her L.A. home with friends, fans were shocked. But, they weren’t alone.
That’s right! Many of Demi’s music industry peers took to Twitter after finding out about her alleged overdose to send her their prayers and to wish her a speedy recovery. Wondering who? Take a look:
