On Saturday, August 11, Fear the Riff, an effects, pedal and guitar gear expo will be held at the Brooklyn Expo Center in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Attendees of Fear the Riff will have the opportunity to demo and purchase the latest and greatest in guitars, basses, amps, and stomp boxes, from vendors like Marshall Amps, Fender Guitars, PRS Guitars, Daredevil Pedals, Ibanez Guitars, and Ernie Ball.
This event is promising for guitarists in search of gear. All guests are welcome to bring their own guitars and headphones to sample products from the vendors.
Do not mistake this expo for some bland or tasteless gear-open house, as there will also be beer, whiskey and barbecue vendors in attendance, making Fear the Riff a full day stop for musicians and friends in Brooklyn.
General admission to the event is $10, while a beer & BBQ ticket is $40, making Fear the Riff about the same price as any day out in Brooklyn, if not cheaper.
What you won’t find anywhere but Fear the Riff are special guest appearances and signings. Featured at the expo will be Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society), Mark Holcomb + Jake Bowen (Periphery), Eddie Ojeda (Twisted Sister), John Petrucci (Dream Theatre), and more.
The second annual Fear the Riff expo will run from 10 AM to 6 PM (Saturday August 11). The Brooklyn Expo center is located at 79 Franklin Street in Brooklyn, and tickets can be purchased HERE.
