This past week, LANY dropped their latest single, “I Don’t Wanna Love You Anymore.” This is the second single off their newest album, Malibu Nights. The song is about the frontman, Paul Jason Klein, being unexpectedly left by a lover and reminiscing on the bittersweet, nostalgic past with that person. The track gives a deeply intimate look at Klein’s life and relationship with his ex.
The pre-chorus clearly will get any lover/former lover/hopeless romantic all up in their feels:
“Sick of staring up at the ceiling // How’d you change your mind just like that? // The only way to get past this feeling // Is to tell myself you’re not coming back,”
He even tweeted saying exactly how this song will get you feeling after you listen to it:

Klein also posted on Instagram about the writing process of “I Don’t Wanna Love You Anymore,” and his lonely evening after writing the song:
The album is out later this year and is to be accompanied by a small European and US tour in October and November, before a full world tour in 2019.
