Attention country music fans! The CMA Awards are returning next month and they have a star studded lineup! On November 14th, country legends will pack the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee to party at the 52nd CMA Awards. The annual award show honors and highlights the accomplishments of musicians and broadcasters in the country music world.
We’ll be seeing some familiar faces hosting this year’s show. That’s right, y’all! Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will be hosting for the eleventh time! They always have great chemistry and we’re so excited to see what they have in store.
On Friday, the Country Music Association announced its first round of performers and the artists on this year’s roster are some of the best they’ve ever had!
Keith Urban and his current Graffiti U world tour supporting act Kelsea Ballerini are both scheduled to perform. Host Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney will both be singing songs from their latest releases (Underwood’s album Cry Pretty was released in September and Chesney’s album Songs for the Saints was released in July). Luke Bryan, who is finishing his What Makes You Country tour and Old Dominion, who are currently on their Happy Endings world tour, will both be making stops at Bridgestone Arena. Additionally, duo Dan + Shay, who just announced a headlining tour this week, are also hitting the stage.
Of course, We’re very curious to hear what these stars will sing on the big night. Will Kelsea Ballerini sing her current single “Miss Me More,” or will she sing her new duet “Dance with Me” with husband Morgan Evans? Will Dan + Shay sing their smash hit “Tequila,” or will they bring out Kelly Clarkson for their collaboration of “Keeping Score?”
There will be more artists announced to perform in the coming weeks and we’re looking forward to seeing who else gets added to the lineup. Make sure to tune in to the show LIVE on November 14 at 8/7c on ABC. In the meantime, though, let us know who you’d like to see perform in the comments below or on Twitter @soundigest!
