Firefly Festival Announces 2019 Dates: Who Will Perform?

Festival season is upon us! Nothing brings holiday cheer quite like Firefly releasing their 2019 festival dates. From June 21-23, 2019, you can camp and dance with all your friends in Dover, Delaware. The festival has been a great stop for those on the east coast since its start in 2012. With last year’s headliners being The Killers, Kendrick Lamar, Arctic Monkeys, and Eminem, we are hoping for some hot acts in 2019.

Along with the date announcement, Firefly also revealed some new changes for the upcoming festival. For the first time since 2013, the festival will be three days instead of four. This change was made due to fan feedback. However, campers will have the option to set up Thursday night and leave Monday morning if they wish. This will provide more time for festival-goers to take advantage of a full day’s lineup without worrying about traveling at odd hours.

Additionally, Firefly has added a loyalty program for those who have previously attended the festival. This will give Firefly’s biggest fans the opportunity to get regular and VIP passes on November 16, 2018. A loyalty program is a great way to get repeat customers another reason to join the Firefly family. Maybe we will see more goodies and perks for loyalty program members in the future.

We are also looking forward to hearing about lineup announcements and rumors. With all the albums drops this fall and some anticipated in 2019, the festival organizers have some great headlining options. Our predictions for rock and indie artists are Imagine Dragons, Death Cab for Cutie, or Weezer. There is also the possibility of Twenty One Pilots or The 1975 returning to Delaware. We’d also love if Firefly brought another big name in rap to the 2019 festival. Kanye West, Drake, and Post Malone have all released new albums in 2018, and any one of them would draw a huge crowd.

Firefly said they will be releasing more info about camping and hotel packages on their website, so you can keep up to date with that here. The lineup for Firefly is usually announced around January or February. Since the anticipation is real, it is never too early to start planning. A Firefly pass is always the perfect birthday, Christmas, or any other holiday gift if you are celebrating soon. To get you even more prepared, you can watch the 2018 recap video as you daydream about another fun, festival-filled summer.
