Sabrina Carpenter Sue Me Music Video Review

Sabrina Carpenter Channels Her Inner Elle Woods in “Sue Me” Music Video

Sabrina Carpenter just released the music video for her latest single, “Sue Me,” and it’s filled with Legally Blonde references! The video begins with Sabrina eating ice cream in bed with her dog, sad about her ex until her friends, one of which is a surprise cameo from actress Joey King, come and give her some confidence and a cute outfit to get back out in the world and stop worrying about her ex.

This song and video have a great message about gaining confidence and accomplishing anything you put your mind to, even after an ex just broke your heart. The song in conjunction with the feminist messages routed in the Legally Blonde references make it a very inspiring and empowering music video for young women. We see Sabrina rocking some amazing pink outfits and studying away at law school just like Elle Woods, not caring what anyone thinks of her as she moves on from her past to become a better more confident version of herself.

The song contains the lyrics, “Feeling myself can’t be illegal,” and goes on into the chorus telling people to sue her if they have any issues with her being confident and moving on as she’s doing what’s best for herself. We think this video is really inspiring to young girls today and we really adore the message this song has. It also doesn’t hurt that the track is an absolute bop!
