The Chainsmokers and 5SOS’ “Who Do You Love?” Touches on Many Different Emotions

For those of you who don’t know, The Chainsmokers are the kings of collaborations, and this time they made another banger with the boys of 5 Seconds of Summer! Last week, the duo released the track and it’s already topping charts and dominating airwaves. The new song, titled “Who Do You Love?” includes a mix of emotions, combining sad love song lyrics with a hype dance beat. It’s pretty much the perfect song to scream your heart out to while partying with friends!

The song features vocals from The Chainsmokers, with Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood and Michael Clifford all getting verses of their own.

Expressing their emotions about a cheating lover, the band sings, “Who do you love, do you love now? // I wanna know the truth // Who do you love, do you love now? I know it’s someone new.” The lyrics really bring out a melancholy feel to the upbeat tempo of the song.

5SOS have definitely been experimenting with sounds recently, and we love everything they’ve given us so far. The band’s drummer, Ashton Irwin, took to Twitter to express his thoughts and excitement about the collaboration.

Fans also seem to love the new song, even if the dance genre isn’t their usual go-to. Plus, all seem to agree that the band brought their best vocals on this collaboration.

We can’t wait to see what else The Chainsmokers and 5SOS put out in 2019 — especially since they already started out the year with a hit. Check out the lyric video below and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
