Halsey, Yungblud and Travis Barker Leave Fans in Their Feelings in New Track “11 Minutes”

Last week, on the eve of Valentine’s Day, we were blessed with the emo collaboration of our dreams. Popstar and former emo kid, Halsey teamed up with YUNGBLUD and Blink-182‘s drummer Travis Barker. On top of this stacked lineup of musicians, the trio worked with Matt Schwartz, Zakk Cervini and Chris Greatti to write and produce the track.

This is the follow-up Halsey’s top-charting track “Without Me” and YUNGBLUD’s hit “Loner.” The song tells of a Romeo and Juliet type of self-sabotaging love with incredible drumming, a beautiful piano solo and perfect guitars.

“The song tells the story of a perfect tragedy that reflects modern love within our society,” YUNGBLUD said. “We are so distracted and focused on what’s next, we can fail to see what is actually in front of us. We don’t realize how much we need something until it’s taken away from us.”

YUNGBLUD also noted how much of a dream it was to work with the two incredible talents on the track. “Working with Halsey and Travis was a fucking dream—at the end of the day, we’re all rock kids. We grew up with a mutual adoration for the genre, so it completely makes sense that we would come together and try to modernize it,” the “I Love You, Will You Marry Me” singer said.

This is the first collaboration between the rumored couple, Halsey and YUNGBLUD, which has been teased on Halsey’s Instagram since November, when she captioned a picture of her recording what was most likely the track we now have with the lyrics, “You’re the fuckin’ acid to my alkaline.”

The trio has been teasing the music video for the entrancing track on social media since Valentine’s Day. We’re looking forward to seeing the visual to this amazing collaboration this week!
