Zeds Dead Delivers Dubstep Remix of Billie Eilish’s “Bury A Friend”

Serving as another surprise after sharing the complete lineup for the Deadbeats Goes Off The Deep End III party coming next Thursday, March 28, during Miami Music Week, Canadian electronic music duo Zeds Dead released their deep dubstep rendition of Billie Eilish‘s “Bury A Friend,” late last week.

By adding more volume and intrigue to an already dark song, this remix offers up a phenomenal fusion of both camps’ signature styles. This is by no means uncharted territory for Zeds Dead. In fact, bass icons Zachary “Hooks” Rapp-Rovan and Dylan “DC” Mamid are known for their bone-rattling remixes in addition to, of course, their mind-blowing originals.

Hardcore headbangers and longtime fans will remember the rework of “Eyes On Fire” by Blue Foundation—another example of how the two flawlessly fit haunting and insurgent vocals with an abrasive bassline and a buzzing refrain.

With this hot new track and other teasers on the DJs’ social media, all we can do is hope for more soon. There’s nothing bass fanatics love more than a Zeds Dead remix—except, perhaps, an entire album.
