Becky G 'Green Light Go' Music Video

Becky G Drops Music Video for Her Gloating Banger “Green Light Go”

Becky G has done it again by releasing yet another banger, and TBH, there was no need for her to go that hard. The 22-year-old singer, songwriter and actress dropped her new single “Green Light Go” at the end of March, and it’s a boastful anthem with a music video that’s just as fire.

To fill you in, GLG is an anthem all about not taking no for an answer, paired with a beat so hard that it makes you feel even more empowered and ready to take on any challenge that comes your way. The “Sola” enthusiast references everything luxurious she has now, but also doesn’t forget all the hard work she put in to get to this point.

This is Becky’s second English single this year. Her other is “LBD,” but for the most part, she’s been focusing on releasing Spanish hits.

In the chorus, she sings, “Okay, nobody stop me, I’m on my green light, go // Everything I do is big // I’m on my fee, fi, fo // I came up from out the dirt, I’m like a concrete rose // If I ever fall // I’m landing on my Gucci soles”

As you can tell, she’s singing all about how nothing can stop her from accomplishing what she sets out to do. In other words, all she needs is herself to give the green light on the things she wants to do in life. So amazing!

The “Mayores” singer also mentions in the second pre-chorus that her motivation and inspiration comes from several different things, including her mom, her desire to represent her hometown of Inglewood, California, and her Latin pride and Mexican roots.

“La cabra, they call me the GOAT // On my mama, I will never fall // Just in case you didn’t know // I do this s**t for Mexico,” she sings.

In a recent tweet, Becky revealed what she hopes fans take away from the single, which is to be persistent and to never take no as an answer.

For the visual, the Latin pop star showed off some insane choreographed moves with friends in a suburban neighborhood with L.A.’s iconic palm trees. They also take those moves to a high school field and random parking lot as well. Oh, and did we mention they wore the sickest fits? Just see for yourself!

This single will definitely motivate you not to take no for an answer and to make your own opportunities.

Well, what do you think? Don’t answer that — just keep playing “Green Light Go” on repeat instead.
