On Thursday, June 13, French DJ and record producer DJ Snake celebrated his 33rd birthday by releasing his latest collaboration “Loco Contigo.”
The electronic dance and house music hitmaker has made a career out of knowing what works at any given time, and this new bilingual ballad, featuring Latin megastar J Balvin and hip hop sinew Tyga, is perfect for the summer heat. With its reggaeton-influenced sound, vocals in both English and Spanish, and ostentatious music video directed by Colin Tilley, “Loco Contigo” has everything it takes to be a summertime banger and festival fave.
A catchy, special sound effect kicks off the song before Balvin comes in crooning on the first verse about being crazy for someone, unable to get them off his mind.
Tyga then keeps the flow with, “You got that new body, you a art piece // You like salsa , I’m saucy // Caliente, muy caliente.”
The offical music video for the synergetic summer anthem brings Carnival to places it was never meant to be, with feather-clad maskers dancing in the heat to a dembow you can’t help but move to too.
