MUNA is going strong with the lead-up to the band’s second album, Saves the World, through the release of the newest single, “Who.” This track is completely different from the upbeat single “Number One Fan” that they released a few weeks ago. This is a slow anthem for those who are getting over an ex and have to watch them move on and be happy with someone else.
This song could be described as a “song to be there” when you’re stalking your ex on social media and moping because they’re singing a love song to someone else. With lyrics like “I need to know who / Who, who are you singing about?” this ballad will definitely walk beside you in your distressed feelings.

The visuals are relatable for anyone who’s been in this position, as lead singer Katie Gavin sits in front of a TV watching her ex with another while she cries, drinks wine and eats ice cream and other sweets. She watches the scene unfold against her will. Echoing that heartbreaking sentiment, MUNA sings, “And it was like a dream to hear such a sweet melody / But I knew it was not for me.”
The band’s new album is set to be released on September 6 and with the versatility we’ve gotten so far, we can’t wait to see what’s to come! Check out the video for “Who” below and let us know what you think in the comments or tweet us @soundigest!
