In light of the unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances that led Diplo to cancel his inaugural two-day music festival, the electronic DJ/producer has joined forces with Valentino Khan for their first-ever collaborative track titled “JustYourSoul.”
The new song is to be featured as part of Khan’s forthcoming House Party EP and follows a recent solo release from the hardstyle artist on Diplo’s Mad Decent label.
Although many listeners were surprised that a collaboration between these two heavy hitters would take form of a tech house air, “JustYourSoul” is a crowd-pleaser and will definitely have everyone shuffling their feet from the club to the main stage dance floor.
Commenting on the collaboration, as well as the imminent EP, Diplo (real name Thomas Wesley Pentz Jr.) acknowledged that Khan’s work is frequently sampled by a multitude of DJs due to its appeal to a large audience.
“Valentino is on the fringe of every genre and all his records are consistent in every DJ’s sets. He’s made many future classics, so I’m glad to finally have an EP full of them being released through Mad Decent.”
“Diplo has been a collaborator and big supporter of me since day one,” said Khan. “We both have always shared a forward-thinking approach to music. It was dope to link up and create a vibey house track for the summer and beyond.”
