Veld Music Festival returned last weekend better than ever with headliners Cardi B, Kygo, Skrillex and Tiësto. The massive Canadian EDM and hip-hop festival also featured more than 30 performers in the span of two days. Taking over the massive outdoor space with three stages and thousands of people, there’s no doubt Downsview Park was packed.
The festival was filled with constant energy and hype from the crowd. Other performing artists that weekend included Loud Luxury, Jaden Smith, Alesso, and Lil Baby. Even though the festival primarily focused on EDM in it’s earlier years, it’s evolved flawlessly by booking radio’s top kings and queens. Drawing a crowd of over 30,000 people, this year was Veld’s biggest year yet.
From its start, Veld has always been a massive festival. Even in their first year, the festival created large draw with popular acts deadmau5 and the late Avicii headlining in 2012. Other previous acts who’ve graced the stage of the festival are Calvin Harris, Waka Flocka Flame, Iggy Azalea, A$AP Rocky, The Chainsmokers, Post Malone,Travis Scott, Major Lazor, Marshmello and so much more talent. Not to mention, the festival space has always been held at Downsview Park, which has hosted acts like AC/DC and Tyler, The Creator.
