5. “Hesitate” — Happiness Begins

Of course, we have to end on “Hesitate” — the song Joe wrote for his new wife, Sophie Turner. He once again takes the bridge and ends with a soft but firm promise to her, offering her everything he has. Joe’s promise is undeniably sincere and although we loved the brothers’ music back in their heyday, this feels older, more mature and like they truly understand the complicated concepts they’re singing about.

While our boy is all grown up and hitting the big 3 – 0, we’re certain this won’t be the last we hear from him. In fact, considering the ongoing Happiness Begins tour with his brothers, we’re sure we’re going to hear a lot more from Joe in the months to come.
