BTS are giving fans another chance to get a candid look into their lives. The K-pop boy group has their third concert film Bring The Soul releasing in theaters around the world at the end of this month. The film was shot during the European leg of the group’s 2018-2019 Love Yourself tour. Following the theatrical release, the boys are going to release a six-episode docuseries, which will show more footage from that tour.
The series will be available for purchase through the Weverse app. Weverse is a “global fan community” developed by beNX, which is a subsidiary of Big Hit Entertainment. The app was released on July 1 and BTS’ label mates TXT have already opened a fan community as well.
Through Twitter and BTS’ fan cafe, Big Hit said in a statement: “BTS has opened their official fan community, BTS Weverse. BTS Weverse is a way for BTS and ARMY to communicate even more closely with one another, and it is an official fan community where various BTS content will be uploaded. We ask ARMY to show lots of interest and love.”
The Weverse app states that it will continue the message of loving yourself that the group has been focusing on with their past three albums. Each episode will also have its own theme. The episodes in order will be “Challenge,” “Passion,” “Relationship,” “Influence,” “Cordiality” and “Energy.” The first episode will air on August 27 KST. Following episodes will air every Tuesday until the final episode on October 1.
The synopsis for the show reads as follows: “One message that touched the hearts of ARMY across the world. Behind the free and spirited presence on the stage, are the members doing their best to love themselves, personifying the message delivered throughout the tour. But the sense of responsibility, along with the worries and anxiety, is mounting more weight on the shoulders of the members. The docu-series captures BTS members telling the stories untold in Bring the Soul: The Movie and finally revealing their genuine stories.”
