2. Dedicated by Carly Rae Jepsen
Before Dedicated, there was Emotion, an album that solidified Carly Rae Jepsen as a pop gem and secured a cult-like following. Emotion wasn’t a chart topper, but it was highly adored and there were high expectations for the follow-up album. Dedicated surely didn’t disappoint. The album’s a sonically cohesive work full of interesting production and disco-inspired tracks. Songs like “Want You In My Room,” produced by Jack Antonoff and “Feels Right” (feat. Electric Guest) took Carly to new territory in terms of experimenting with sound.
