Niall Horan is back with a brand new cover and this might be our favorite one yet. Hearing that our favorite Ireland native covered a song by Post Malone, we were very excited to hear this one. Niall’s performance of Post Malone’s hit song “Circles” features Niall’s classic acoustic sound and some great instrumentals. Niall gives Post’s song a groovy vibe, and while this is an unexpected cover for Niall to tackle, his voice matches the song very well.
While watching Niall’s cover from the BBC Radio Live Lounge, you can see how effortlessly Niall sings the lyrics to the song and the overall enjoyment on his face while doing so. In addition to this already amazing cover, Niall decided to get creative and mix in Foster the People‘s hit song “Pumped Up Kicks.” As the music started to slow down this surprise mashup took us by surprise (in a very good way, of course). Niall’s vocals are so strong and flawless throughout the performance from start to finish that you can tell he really enjoyed performing this.
One thing we know for sure is that we’d love to see Niall cover more songs like this in the future. It’s really cool when an artist can cover a song and make it into their own unique style. With all this being said, Niall actually isn’t the first member of One Direction to cover “Circles,” as Liam Payne did his own take on the song last month when he visited Sirius XM Hits 1. We would love to hear the rest of the One Direction boys take a shot at one of Post Malone’s hits in the future. Take a look at Niall’s cover of “Circles” below and let us know what you thought about it in the comments.
