SWMRS is moving away from punk, but The 1975 isn’t. “People” is a punchy, industrial-punk-styled track that isn’t usual for the dreamy synth-pop band, but still sounds good on them. While lead singer Matty Healy has become more and more politically vocal on Twitter, his politics had yet to really make an appearance in his music until this track, and we have to admit, we liked it quite a bit.
