Remember a world without streaming? Don’t worry. We don’t want to, either.
In 2011, a little Swedish company, Spotify, expanded its services to the U.S. and changed how we listen to (and consume) music forever.
Oh, and just in time, too. MegaUpload — a popular way to get music (and other forms of media) in the Wild West days of the internet, before the days of streaming, got shut down just six months later.
And for those of you wondering, this would lead to Tidal and Apple Music both launching in 2015 — in March and June, respectively. Let the streaming wars commence!
