2020 is going to be a BIG year for country music group Little Big Town. The band is set to release their ninth studio album, Nightfall, in just a few days on Friday, January 17. With the album about to drop and tour dates set, the band is definitely building fans’ excitement.
Little Big Town dropped a HUGE surprise for fans just a few days ago: the title track for their upcoming album. Little Big Town has yet to release a bad song, and needless to say, we are loving their latest, “Nightfall.
“Nightfall” takes a step back from the typical LBT sound. It is not as upbeat as their usual tunes, but it also has a completely different sound than some of their slower songs, like “Girl Crush.” The Karen Fairchild-led song is dreamy and romantic. Even though Karen Fairchild is the lead, you can hear the beautiful harmonizing of the entire group come together to create the track’s dreamy sound.
Some of the lyrics that we love are: “Turn the lights down, we can watch the stars crawl // You and I fall, baby, when the night falls.” This song makes you want to find a clear night and go stargazing with someone you love.
Fans are patiently awaiting the ninth album that is soon to drop. The album has 13 total songs produced by the band themselves. Nightfall is also the title of their upcoming tour, taking place throughout 2020. Needless to say, everyone is very excited about the new music and the tour. Until Friday, listen to “Nightfall” and check out this fun video by Little Big Town describing their upcoming album. We definitely loved it!
