March 2020 has been rough on the music (and touring) industry to say the least. However, some artists are taking this opportunity to get creative. Since touring is such a large part of a musician’s livelihood, the coronavirus outbreak is leading to all sorts of substitutes. Yungblud is one of a few artists who is replacing some live shows with livestreamed shows instead. Not only will this help fans continue their support for Yungblud, but in a time of crisis, it can provide a fun escape for fans having to stick to social distancing guidelines.
On March 16, 2020, at 7 a.m. PDT, Yungblud will be performing via a Youtube livestream. The singer-songwriter also announced he will be having some special guests join him. With appearances from Machine Gun Kelly, Bella Thorne, and Oliver Tree, the virtual show is sure to be a wild time, and we’re sure we can expect both old and new music. However, there will definitely be some shenanigans weaved in throughout the show.

And fans are excited! Yungblud has shared on Twitter that fans are making fake tickets for the show and even pretending to camp out. Luckily, everyone can get a front-row seat while they are quarantined. Music has often been an escape for people in times of sadness and stress, and Yungblud is gathering his community, as it seems like the best solution in these trying times.
Hopefully, summer tours can continue as planned, but as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, it is hard to imagine at this point. As for artists, small business owners and everyone who makes a living in touring or entertainment, now is the time to find other ways. Stay positive, and if you are able to, support live streams, music sales and merch sales. We hope Yungblud can pass on the positivity in these tough times.
We look forward to more streaming concert events as we continue to socially distance ourselves. In the meantime, stay healthy and safe.
