After four long years, Sam Hunt fans are incredibly excited about the arrival of Hunt’s second studio album, Southside. After releasing his singles, “Downtown’s Dead” and “Drinking Too Much,” Hunt seemingly fell off the grid. But fans didn’t lose hope for a new album. These songs, as well as “Body Like a Back Road,” were released as singles without an album to fall into, but fans are now able to see them on Southside

As mentioned earlier, this album has 12 tracks, and of the 12, six of them have appeared as singles throughout the past four years. Through the old and the new, this album is really great. Overall, it has been very well received by fans, and it is sure to be a hit for a while, especially as we move into the summer months.

What really makes this album special is that it really helps blend that country-hip-hop sound for which Hunt is becoming increasingly known. Perhaps there will be a genre-crossover in his future, but knowing his country roots, who is to be sure?

Fans will be able to experience Southside live this summer in the aptly-named tour that is set to start begin next month, although this is likely to change as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop. In the meantime, though, we will be dreaming of summer and listening to Southside on repeat!
