Country music superstar Brad Paisley is well known for his summertime hits and creating an All-American feeling through his songs. His newest single is no exception, and in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone could use a little bit of togetherness right now. While down to the core this song is lighthearted and fun for friends and family, it has also been a great spirit-booster in the recent days.
The first verse of the song emphasizes that, whatever you’re going through, grab a beer and we will get through it together. It then leads into the chorus, which is arguably the best part of the song, “We’re all in this together // To me it’s all so clear // Drinkin’ oughta be a team effort // There is no ‘I’ in beer.” This chorus reminds us that no matter what we are going through, we are not alone. With a few good friends and a few beers, we can get through it. It’s incredibly telling for what we are facing right now.
While the song was first written in 2018, it is extremely applicable to the current global climate. As we continue to do our part in fighting COVID-19, we all need to try to rally together while being apart and do our best to stay connected with one another. No matter what, we are not facing this alone.
Paisley is reminding his fans of this by hosting virtual happy hours — dubbed the Paisley Pub Crawl — with them, as well as other musicians, making what we’re all going through a little more bearable. He will also be hosting various virtual events and concerts for fans to tune into.

Here’s a recap of the (virtual) pub crawl last night. I’m so inspired by you all, so moved by your togetherness and spirit. Thanks for the invites, what a blast. I crawled for 3 hours, and the ones I didn’t get to, there’ll be a next time! #wereallinthistogether #teameffort #Noiinbeer And thanks to my band mate #PeytonManning for crashing it!
