Since the racist murder of George Floyd at the hands of police officer Derek Chauvin in Minnesota, people all over the world have taken to the streets in protest, to support the Black Lives Matter movement. This movement has touched every single industry, especially the music industry. Black people and culture have been used to benefit every single non-black musician, producer, music video director and music executive. Musicians have used this movement to demand justice for the consistent racism in the industry throughout history, down to the present.
