Kristine Flaherty, better known as K.Flay, is an American singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2017, thanks to her second studio album, Every Where Is Some Where. Ever since, her songs have been featured in popular films, such as Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), Last Christmas and Tomb Raider, and in Netflix’s original series BoJack Horseman. She was also the opening act for Imagine Dragons‘ Evolve Tour and she features in the official remix of the band’s “Thunder.”

The genre-defying artist is also a very funny person; she constantly shares jokes and puns on her Instagram stories and even her stage name has a fun backstory: “K.Flay was my nickname in college, which was where I started making music. And because I’m legitimately terrible at coming up with titles for things, I figured K.Flay was my best bet, especially since half of my friends already called me that. Otherwise I’d probably have called myself something stupid, like Buttered Jam or Ankle Bone.”
