7. “Bad Memory”
DC Comics’ film Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) was a great female-led superhero adventure, and not only because of its talented cast, but also for its top-tier soundtrack, which was curated by the producers of the multi-platinum Suicide Squad soundtrack. Birds of Prey: The Album includes 15 tracks by an array of successful female musicians. One of them is K.Flay, whose song “Bad Memory” is featured in the movie’s end credits. The singer referred to her participation on the soundtrack, by saying that she’s “proud & excited to be part of this group of badass women.”
With lyrics like “You made me question everything I thought I knew, a lesson // So I learned how to manipulate the world, a blessing,” K.Flay takes on the role of Harley Quinn and expresses her feelings after breaking up with the Joker throughout the song. The track is full of energy and it’s really fitting for the film.
