Has anyone wondered what kind of music would be produced if Green Day and Taylor Swift collaborated? Thankfully for us, Tiny Stills, a band based in Los Angeles, has decided to present their music in that direction.
In their new single “Craigslist Bed,” the pop band discusses the inconveniences that come out of leaving a relationship. Kailynn West tells American Songwriter the song is “about the unexpected struggles you go through after a breakup — the small inconveniences that turn into bigger problems just because you’re struggling to get into a better headspace. Things like making new keys and not knowing what to do with your old ones become an emotional struggle and not just a task.” Paired with a rock guitar, the track brings life to the rather disappointing factors that come out of breaking up with someone. It sounds quite similar to the introduction songs used for Disney Channel shows, while still having insightful lyric. Kailynn West is able to turn the track into a “sad but happy” track with her powerful vocals.
