A 4th of July Playlist for Everyone

So far, 2020 is shaping up to be an ~interesting~ year. But this year’s July 4th celebrations are looking a lot different than ones from years past — and understandably so. Not only are many of us trying to keep our backyard BBQs small and intimate this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but the recent George Floyd protests and the momentum from the Black Lives Matter movement have shown us that we, as Americans, have ways to go until we achieve full equality and justice for all.

With that in mind, we’ve decided to share a different kind of playlist this year; one that celebrates America’s potential, and doesn’t sweep the injustices faced by minorities on a daily basis under the rug. So grab your outdoor speakers, throw some hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill, and turn the music all the way up. And while you’re at it, check out these resources so that you can help make the United States become an all-around better, more loving and tolerant place.
