New Found Glory Embodies Nostalgia in “Stay Awhile” Music Video

After the release of their tenth studio album, pop-punk pioneers New Found Glory dropped their new music video for “Stay Awhile.” “Stay Awhile” marks the band’s latest single off their new album Forever And Ever x Infinity.

The lighthearted video features all four bandmates (Jordan Pundik (lead vocals), Chad Gilbert (guitar), Ian Grushka (bass guitar), and Cyrus Bolooki (drums) energetically performing in a vacant living room. While the band rocks out, their younger upstairs neighbor discovers their mesmerizing energy of the pop-punk genre for the first time.

Directed by Max Moore, the video stylistically blends the older pop-punk generation influences with the new and reminds us that we can all appreciate the reliability of New Found Glory, regardless of our age. Although many fans remember the band as a nostalgic, early-2000s punk breakout that helped them get through the depths of teenhood, that still rings true for today’s youth.

Collectively, Forever And Ever x Infinity combines punk, hardcore, and post-hardcore genres with soft emotional lyrics that the fans all know and love. Guitarist Chad Gilbert recently shared: “This is the record our fans have been waiting for us to make… the old now feels new and fresh. It was a blast finding ourselves again.”

Nearly 20 years later after establishing the band, 10 studio albums, one live album, four cover albums, and two EPs, New Found Glory maintains a strongly sentimental connection with their fan base. Since the beginning, their music has always offered to be the friend you can count on when you feel like the world just doesn’t quite understand you.
