In Ashe’s new single, she reflects back on her past relationship wishing she could go back in time to save herself from the pain she endured. Although the lyrics of the song have anger embedded in them, the song itself has a whimsical soft pop sound with catchy lyrics — perfect for listening to in the car with the windows rolled down.

In the song’s chorus, Ashe sings “I could have saved myself // Time and lots of money // Could’ve saved myself // I shouldn’t blame myself // I kinda saw it coming // Could’ve saved myself // From you.” She reflects that she knows everything happens for a reason, but if she had the chance, she would save herself from the toxic relationship she was in.

If you’re just now finding out about Ashe, she is definitely a new artist to keep an eye on this year and we cannot wait to hear what other emotional songs she has in store for us in the future! You can check out the lyric video for Ashe’s latest single “Save Myself” down below.
