Has anyone heard of a pop artist who took up violin lessons at age three and soon moved on to mastering piano, viola, singing, and eventually became a Stanford MBA graduate? Well an artist by the name of Audriix (pronounced as Audrey) has accomplished all of this and recently dropped her single “Ace of Spades.”
When it comes to pursuing her passion for music, Audriix is nothing short of a force of nature. Through her journey, she has developed her own unforgettable voice as an artist: strong and self-assured, thoughtful but lighthearted, clear-eyed yet infectiously hopeful.
With “Ace of Spades,” Audriix focuses on empowerment. She claims, “This song is for any time someone has told you you can’t do something or made you feel like a drop in the ocean. It’s me saying that I know I can and will succeed.” Paired with a lyric video, the visual demonstrates the duality between two women: the sweet Audrey on the outside and tough Audrey on the inside. Audrey continues to say, “I wrote this song about my own music career. All of the lights are on is the start of a show when I’m on stage and finally realizing my dreams despite people who have told me I’m not good enough or tried to knock me down.”
Along with the release of the single, Audriix also released an acoustic version on YouTube, which generated buzz about her and her albums. Check out Audriix’s latest single “Ace of Spades” and let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
