Bishop Briggs’ New Cover Will Rock You

Bishop Briggs is a multitalented singer-songwriter whose vocal abilities always amaze us. Her latest release is a cover of British band Queen‘s 1977 hit “We Will Rock You,” which she recorded for a makeup campaign. “We Will Rock You” is Bishop’s first release since her 2019 album Champion.

On August 1, the artist took to Instagram to reveal she had worked with the brand MAKE UP FOR EVER for their new lipstick campaign, and on August 21, she unveiled her cover of “We Will Rock You” via Twitter.

In the track, Bishop stays true to the original version. Nevertheless, her unmistakable voice and energy bring a breath of fresh air to the song. Just like every Bishop Briggs song, her powerful voice will make listeners wish they were at one of her concerts.

You can listen to “We Will Rock You” below, and you can also stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

Unsurprisingly, Bishop Briggs is a big fan of makeup. She constantly shares her makeup styles on her social media platforms, and she is always daring to try new things with cosmetics. So, when she announced her collaboration with MAKE UP FOR EVER, fans were ecstatic. The musician told MAKE UP FOR EVER that she has “always loved experimenting with makeup” and that she “would wear very intense eyeshadows to school.” Bishop also said that she expresses herself through makeup “by trying to embrace myself as I am.”

When asked about the collaboration, the singer said, “When the conversation began about me potentially teaming up with MAKE UP FOR EVER, I definitely cried. I couldn’t believe it. I have been using [the brand] for as long as I can remember… To be a part of it is very surreal. I have definitely been pinching myself since I got us to be a part of this. I feel like I asked MAKE UP FOR EVER more than they asked me. I feel very honored.” The new lipstick, Rouge Artist, comes in 60 different shades, its color lasts all day and it provides 24-hour hydration. Check out the campaign featuring Bishop Briggs below:
