Another year, another MTV Video Music Awards! In a year of so much uncertainty, it is strangely comforting that even in the middle of a pandemic the VMAs 2020 will still deliver the pop culture insanity that only they are capable of. Of course, the highlights of the VMAs are so often down to the performances. From Britney Spears‘ 2001 “I’m a Slave 4 U” featuring a snake to Beyoncé’s 2011 “Love on Top” featuring fetus Blue Ivy, the VMAs have served world-stopping performances.
