Popular country music artist Lauren Alaina has released her latest single “Getting Over Him,” the perfect song to teach you how to get over your latest breakup. Alaina has always been known for bringing the party with her upbeat and fun songs, and her latest single is just one more banger to add to that.
In this song, Alaina sings a song about a girl getting over a guy in one of the best ways possible, and Jon Pardi adds the perfect male harmony to the song.
”Getting Over Him” is the latest single off of Alaina’s six song EP Getting Over Him. Last year Alaina went through a very public breakup with comedian John Crist right before her season of Dancing with the Starts started.
Alaina didn’t comment much about the breakup, but obviously there were still feelings there, so it sparked creativity for the new EP. Jon Pardi adds a special male perspective to the single, making it a unique, and yes, fun breakup song.
Fans are definitely loving the duo, and are really connecting with lyrics like, “We were dive bar kissing // Heartbreak fixing // No strings, Saturday night // Hot like a match that burned out fast // Forever wasn’t in our eyes // You knew it, and I knew it // And it was a damn good time // My last call, first call, no falling // Just my getting over him guy.”
