Big Sean has finally released his fifth studio album! Detroit 2 was released on September 4, 2020 after it was pushed back several months thanks to COVID-19. His album features a huge roster of artists, including: Eminem, Royce da 5’9″, Dwele, Post Malone, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, Diddy, Kash Doll, and Nipsey Hussle. Detroit 2 is also a sequel for his album Detroit that was released in 2012.

He was originally going to release the album on March 13, 2020. This date holds a special heart in those who live in Detroit. March 13, 2020 or Day 313 is to celebrate the infamous area code of Detroit. However due to COVID-19, Big Sean announced that the album was going to be pushed back. Then, in Late August, he announced that the album would finally be finished for us to hear on September 4, 2020. And now, we finally get to hear the full album that we were supposed to hear back in March, and it was definitely worth the wait.
Let’s dig deeper into the album and the wonderful people who are featured. On August 25, 2020, Big Sean released “Deep Reverence” featuring the late Nipsey Hussle. Shortly after, Big Sean released “Harder Than My Demons” on August 31, 2020 along with a music video.
Before the album was released, Big Sean released a Detroit 2 preview of “Body Language” featuring Jhene Aiko and Ty Dolla Sign. Lastly, Big Sean also surprised fans with a “Lithuania” music video featuring Travis Scott. Listen to it down below!
