BTS are back again to bring some good news to what has thus far been a difficult 2020. The K-pop superstars announced through their management at Big Hit Entertainment that their next album titled, Be (Deluxe Edition), will drop Friday, November 20, 2020. This will be the group’s second album of 2020, following Map of the Soul: 7.

According to Variety, the group stated in an announcement regarding the album: “The new album imparts a message of healing to the world by declaring, ‘Even in the face of this new normality, our life goes on.’
“For this album in particular, the septet took a step further and was involved not only in the music-making process but also in the overall production: concept, composition, design, etc.” They go on to say that the project “reflects the thoughts, emotions and deepest ruminations of BTS while working on the album. This new project offers an even richer musical spectrum experience as well as the most ‘BTS-ish’ music yet.”
Variety also states that the album will be printed in limited quantities for first-run print only. Pre-order availability will vary by retailer.
While getting ready for this upcoming release, the septet is also preparing for a week-long takeover of the Tonight Show. The guest hosts will be performing, as well as joining in on virtual skits with host Jimmy Fallon, virtual interviews and much more. (We’re pretty excited!) The residency will air from starting today through October 2.
Next up for the group after the Tonight Show will be their online concert “BTS MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E” on October 10 and 11. The concert will be streaming live.
It was only last month that BTS’ first English single, “Dynamite,” exploded onto the charts and broke YouTube records. BTS then became the first K-pop act ever to top the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row.
