Christmas Came Early This Year With Carrie Underwood’s My Gift

Country music legend Carrie Underwood is ringing in the holiday season a little early this year with her newest Christmas album, My Gift. With both oldies and several new songs, My Gift is a special treat for fans this year. The 11-track album also features some special musical guests, like John Legend and son Isaiah Fisher.

While a lot of the songs from the album are just Carrie’s take on the old classics, one song stands out as a new original. This song “Hallelujah” features John Legend to add to the harmonious melody and to create a sense of togetherness throughout the tune. Some of the fan-favorite lyrics include: “Ooh, let there be peace on earth // Let the lonely join together, let them know their worth // Ooh, let the children know // There’s a brighter day ahead, let’s hold on to hope // And on the coldest evening in this December // Let us pray the spirit of love will linger.” These lyrics in the song are so heartwarming and will for sure warm you up and put you in the holiday spirit. “Hallelujah” has also made its way onto various country playlists already, so it will definitely be a holiday hit!

Another song that fans are loving is Carrie’s take on the old classic, “Little Drummer Boy.” This track is a special moment for Carrie’s music career, as her son Isaiah joins her for the new spin on this oldie, but goodie. The sweet mother-son duo is all about family togetherness and that definitely comes with the holiday season.

My Gift is such a special album for Carrie, as it is her first Christmas album ever. It also is a great early Christmas gift from Carrie to her fans. Listen to the early Christmas present, My Gift, now and get into the holiday spirit a little sooner this year.
