Miley Cyrus, Bruce Springsteen and more are set to feature in the forthcoming Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2020 Special next month.
On November 7, the event will premiere on HBO and HBO Max and will feature many artists, some of whom have passed on, becoming inductees into the Hall of Fame, including Notorious B.I.G., Nine Inch Nails, Whitney Houston, The Doobie Brothers, Depeche Mode and T-Rex.
The six inductees beat 10 other acts — Pat Benatar, MC5, Dave Matthews Band, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Kraftwerk, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, Todd Rundgren, Thin Lizzy and Soundgarden — who made it onto the ballot list but failed to get enough votes to make it through.
The show will feature appearances by other artists including Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine, Ringo Starr, Sean “Diddy” Combs, St. Vincent and Charlize Theron.
The Ahmet Ertegun Award winners, Jon Landau and Irving Azoff, will also be honored.

The ceremony was originally scheduled for May 2 at the Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio, but was pushed back to November due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In July, the Rock Hall decided to make the event virtual. The ceremony will be pre-recorded and air on the same date as the induction (Saturday, November 7).
“We’re honored to come together with this distinguished group of musicians and artists to celebrate our 2020 class of Inductees,” Joel Peresman, President and CEO of the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, stated in a press statement. “While this year’s program will be different than those of years past, we look forward to recognizing their impact on the industry, their fans, and the next generation of artists.”
