Fans Can’t Get Over The Choreography In Harry Styles’ “Treat People With Kindness” Video

Harry Styles kicked off the new year right by releasing the long-anticipated music video for his Treat People With Kindness, which also starred actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The track is featured on Styles’ sophomore album Fine Line, which dropped in December 2019.

On New Year’s Day, while fans awaited a hopeful message about 2021 from the former One Direction star, Styles and his team were up to something even bigger. Early that morning, @HSHQ tweeted a countdown for the video, which dropped just two hours later.

Just when we thought Styles couldn’t get any more charismatic, he decided to showcase his moves with a dance break featuring the Fleabag star. (Seriously, is there anything the man can’t do?)

The black-and-white visual shows him and Waller-Bridge dancing at a nightclub while sporting luxurious matching outfits. The ’20s-inspired aesthetic makes the video feel perfectly retro, but its the coordinated choreography that has fans absolutely stunned on social media.

With Styles set to hopefully embark on his concert tour, Harry Styles: Love on Tour, in late August, many fans are hoping to see some of these moves onstage. And while on the surface the video is just a fun, carefree work of art, many fans have dug deeper. For example, there’s been a lot talk about the reversal of gender roles between the dancing duo.

The fun and unique concept is exactly what we all needed after this past year, and the message is one to share as we continue to recover from what was a very tumultuous and uncertain 2020. So while fans did not receive the typical “Happy New Year” message they were expecting, it’s safe to say that they were pleasantly surprised and will let it slide this year.

We’re only a few days into 2021 and Styles has already set the tone for the year. So thank you, Harry! And remember, treat people with kindness this year. We could all use some.
